June 2010 8 Tuesday | • 7:00 pm-8:30 pm “Building Human Meaning in the Face of Death” Location: Church House Book: A Grief Observed by C. S. Lewis (recommended but not required) It has been said that it is the job of human beings to craft the meaning and significance of their lives. Death is at once the most mysterious and the most common of human experiences. Should death be included in the crafting of human meaning? Many of us have tried to develop meaning in part by means of denying or running away from death. Some have found themselves befuddled under the overwhelming impenetrability of death. If you have come to suspect that these may not be the most prudent or practical of strategies, then this faith education class is for you.
